Anija pre kinder

These are the little cuties from the school doing a little song about the months...I just LOVE them!

Anija presentations

The school was doing plays and songs today that the kids had been working on. The best was the littlest kids who were just so stinkin cute. They're only about 2 feet tall and I just wanted to squeeze all of them!

I also went with Leslie to the local hospital to ask for vaccinations. We'll be doing immunizations at all the Kids Alive projects in Jarabacoa as well as one of the villages. It's pretty exciting to get to be a part of it all and learn the process. Two other nurses are coming down next week to help with the vaccinations, so it should be a fun time...well, for us anyhow!

Back to the D.R.

So this is where I spent my first weekend back in Dominican Republic. It was such a great place to be, out in the mountains but also near the ocean. I met some great people that I can't wait to get to know more, who just wanted to be with me, nothing else. It was a nice new place to see and to look around at different places and ideas of where I could live.

New Beginnings

So I thought I needed a new blog for this new start in my life. I am back in the Dominican Republic and will be here on a semi-permanant basis, although this is still open to change as does my life. At this point I'm hoping to work with Kids Alive, who I worked with in September. There is a lot that is ahead of me, I'm walking slowly and trying to put it all together as best as I can. As this is new for me, I'm learning loads about myself, my friends, my family, my God...the place I'm at in life and the place I'd like to be. I'm thankful for all the support, encouragement, and endless love I have found in such incredible places and people.
