Just a little update is that I'm not feeling much better after a week out of the hospital and after lots of thought and prayer, we've decided it's best for me to seek treatment/recovery in Oregon. So tomorrow (Monday) I'm heading back to Oregon to see if we can't beat this. I've lost too much weight and am having trouble eating, so hopefully foods that I'm more used to can help with that. My strength and energy are so far gone that I've even requested a wheelchair to get around between planes and customs and bags. I know, it's that serious! I've got all my test results and meds ready to take to a GI doctor on Tuesday who can hopefully help with some answers.
The worst part of this all (yes, even worse than being sick) is that I have to leave Ariel here because he doesn't have a visa yet. Please keep him, and our 4 month marriage, in your thoughts and prayers as this has been the hardest decision to make. I feel selfish but he is so supportive and encouraging and knows I need to do this. I'll update as things move along. Thanks for all you've been emailing/Facebooking/calling.

Oh Jessi I am so sorry that you are still sick and having to make such hard and huge decisions as a newlywed. I pray it strengthens your marriage, and that you get some results and good treatment. I hope you recover very quickly, can rest, can eat, and can get back to your husband as soon possible. I'll pray for you tomorrow especially.
I am so sorry that you are going through this. I think you are smart to head home to pursue health and healing. Please know that both you and Ariel are in my prayers.
I have been a follower of your blog for a while (I stumbled upon it by searching for blogs in the Dominican Republic). I was saddened when I read that you had been sick, and more so now that I read that you continue to be sick. I will be praying that you will healed soon enough to be back to Ariel in the shortest time.
Get Well Soon Jessi! I will be thinking of you!
I hope you get well quick Jessi. We will be thinking about you and sending you healthy digestive thoughts. xxoox Pamela

Jes, I don't want to freak you out, or be negative, but make sure the doctors here exhaust every single possibility for your illness. Adam's symptoms were flu-like and after being mis-diagnosed several times, we finally found it was cancer. And that was after blood tests and everything. So, not that you have cancer, but remember that because you're in a foreign country that sometimes weird foreign things can mask something more serious that might be going on. I'm glad you're here and I really hope they can figure out what's going on. I'm thinking of you!
